The understanding and creation of music begins with music theory. Music theory is the language of music – an essential part of musical training. The Conservatory offers individual and shared lessons, as well as group classes, for all levels of music theory and composition, including Rudiments, Harmony, Counterpoint, Analysis, and Musicianship. Taking classes in Theory and Composition provides an ideal foundation for all students of music.
