December 2, 2017 - 7:00-9:00 pm
Join us on Saturday December 2nd at 7pm in Wood Hall at the Victoria Conservatory of Music. This second Salon d’Amis will explore some of the repertoire and composers we should hear! Spurred by the divisive exclusion we see around us and in reaction to the political climate in his homeland of Georgia, USA, Dr. Jack Edwards decided to organize a night of music, with theme of inclusion for all. Music featured will be composed, arranged, or actually performed by people who deal with marginalization and exclusion due to immigration status, ethnicity, sexuality, or gender identification. It will be a great night of music, created by friends, for friends.
Admission is by donation and proceeds will go to Rainbow Refugee, an organization dedicated to assisting LGBT immigrants seeking refugee status in Canada.
