Sunday, July 2, 7:30pm
Michelle Mares and Mark Anderson, duo piano, featuring the Bartok Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion with Aaron Mattock and Rob Pearce. The program also includes Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances Opus 45 for duo piano.

Felipe Jiang, rising star from the VCM studio of Ingrid Henderson will play a guest recital

Stars of the Future featuring Towa Steward, a multiple award winner from Campbell River and Sophia Stoney, recent UVic piano performance graduate. The program will feature Beethoven, Haydn, Ravel, and an arrangement of Michael Jackson’s Bad/Smooth Criminal.
Friday, July 7, 7:30pm
Anna Cal and Roger Buksa, duo pianos, featuring Variations on a Theme of Beethoven by Saint-Saens and Carman Fantasy by Anderson. Anna will also play Couperin Le tic toc Choc ou les maillottins, Rameau La Poule and Le Rappel des oiseaux, and the Moonlight Sonata Opus 27 by Beethoven.

Noel McRobbie, guest pianist, playing Shostakovich Prelude and Fugues Opus a minor and A Major from Opus 87, Schubert Wanderer Fantasy, Hetu Variation Opus 8, and Beethoven Sonata Opus 111. Noel obtained his doctorate of Musical Arts, specializing in pedagogy and piano performance. He has won many awards, including First Place in the Eckhardt Gramatte competition. He has been featured in “International Piano” magazine and on KBS TV “Classic Odyssey.” Noel has returned to Canada with his wife and young family after spending 2009-17 as Assistant Professor in Seoul, South Korea. He has taken up faculty positions at the Vancouver Academy of Music and BC Conservatory of Music, and he continues on at the Summer Music festival at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest.
