Arlene Overman

Arlene has worked as a music educator for over twenty years and loves working with children and youth! She has conducted several children’s choirs, most recently with Connie Foss More conducting Viva Choirs.

As an accomplished teacher, conductor, vocalist and pianist, with academic achievements and extensive experience in teaching music to students at all levels, Arlene is recognized for program formulation and teaching practices that have inspired people of all ages to achieve high levels of musical progress and performance.

With a Bachelors of Arts from Trinity Western University, and a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from Western Washington University, Arlene has over 25 years experience teaching intermediate and advanced voice students, as well as piano and theory students.  Many of her students have received First Class Honours with Distinction on their RCM exams.

Arlene enjoys performing locally as well as abroad and in a variety of ensembles. However, her favourite musical endeavor has been recording her husband’s own Christmas compositions and homeschooling her three very musical children.
