Supporting the VCM
For over 47 years, the Victoria Conservatory of Music has established a wide-ranging variety of music studies for all ages and levels, has trained scores of professional musicians and teachers, and has enriched the lives of many music lovers. But tuition alone does not cover the cost of a music education.
We’ve acquired a superb building and exceptional performance spaces for our students and the wider community. In the process we’ve become one of Vancouver Island’s major cultural spaces. But ticket income is not enough to cover the cost of a musical performance, and stewardship of a heritage building requires an investment in ongoing conservation and restoration work.
As a non-profit Society, the Conservatory has always relied on the support of individuals, businesses, government, and foundations. With their help we have become a world-class music school, an important performance venue, and a heritage landmark.
When considering how best to contribute to the well-being of the Conservatory, you have many choices when deciding how much to give and what kind of gift to give.
