Theory Academy – July 2-August 3

Theory is the language of music – an essential part of musical training. Summer is the perfect time to get started, brush up, or advance to the next level.
Piano Academy – July 2-13
Artistic Director: Susan De Burgh
Join students from all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond in our piano programs tailored for a variety of ages and levels. Our dedicated faculty will work with you to improve practice efficiency, performance ability and musical understanding.
String Academy – July 2-13
Artistic Director: Michael van Der Sloot
The VCM Summer String Academy brings together young violinists, violists, and cellists from all over Western Canada and beyond for an exciting program of string immersion.
Music Discovery Camp – July 16-27
Artistic Director: Emily Nagelbach
Come join us in a fun musical adventure this summer! This camp is the perfect way to explore music in an inspiring setting, with the guidance of outstanding professionals. We offer programs for children as young as 5, and for 7-12 year olds, full-day programs where they can learn new instruments, or take their instrumental skills to the next level.
Guitar Academy – July 16-20
Artistic Director: Alexander Dunn
Classical guitarists of all ages and abilities* come together this summer for an exciting week of instruction, collaboration and performance. Beginner, intermediate and advanced students will all find engaging opportunities to take their playing to the next level.
Vocal Academy – July 28-August 11
Artistic Directors: Ingrid Attrot and Nancy Argenta
Join us this summer for Canada’s premier Baroque vocal workshop. We offer a variety of courses: for emerging professionals and advanced students, junior singers, adult learners and choral singers.
Flute Academy – August 14-24
Artistic Director: Mary Byrne
Summer is the perfect time to finesse your flute skills. Try out new repertoire, explore new techniques, and conquer persistent habits, all while learning from others and practicing performing. Most of all, surprise yourself and others with just how good you can sound by the time school starts in the fall!
