Musical Storytime

Clap your hands, sing along, and get lost in a book! Using a variety of instruments and plenty of movement, these fun and participatory drop-in sessions are designed to accompany popular picture books with age-appropriate songs and activities.

Georgina Craig

Georgina Craig graduated from Christ Church University in Canterbury, England; undertook postgraduate vocal studies at Trinity College of Music in London, teacher training at Reading University and Orff training in Calgary. She brings to the VCM a wealth of experience working with students of all ages both in a class setting and on a one to one basis. In addition to her community outreach work at the VCM, Georgina is the conductor for the Concerto group of Viva Youth Voices. Sounds Fun

This new program stimulates awareness of musical sounds, inspiring creative moments and an early love for music. The age specific sequenced curriculum is appropriately adjusted to suit infants, toddlers, and pre-school ages up to 4 years.

Andrea Cave

Andrea Cave has always enjoyed interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds. Her interest in psychology, wellness, and music led her to pursue training in the field of music therapy. Andrea studied at Camosun College before transferring to Capilano University where she completed an Honours Bachelor of Music Therapy degree in September 2013. During practicum placements, Andrea worked with cancer patients, geriatrics with dementia, and children with various special needs. Her internship at the VCM, under Dr. Johanne Brodeur, included work on-site and within the community. The Orff Music Program – Birth to 9 years

Offered on Tues, Wed, and Fri downtown, and now also on Thursdays at our Westhills location! Involve your children in a creative, multi-sensory experience! Orff music education is conceptual, child-centered, and non-competitive. Classes embrace all facets of music education, including music literacy, in an atmosphere of fun, joy, and discovery.
