Ann & George Nation Conservatory School of Classical Music

Explore the diversity of Classical music, which encompasses the works of composers dating from the European Renaissance, through the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th century modern eras, and on to the present.

About

The Ann & George Nation Conservatory School of Classical Music offers students the opportunity to discover music that reflects the lives of past composers, including those who dared to go against the mindset of the day, striving for freedom of expression through music and art.

For over 50 years, the study of classical music has been the cornerstone for all programs offered through the Victoria Conservatory of Music and represents an umbrella for our original core disciplines: Keyboard, Voice, Strings, and Winds and Brass Faculty Departments, the study of classical Theory and History subjects, and the Young Artists Collegium Program.

“Learning in the Classical tradition has its roots in ancient times and continues to be reflected today in how students are taught music through the Ann & George Nation Conservatory School of Classical Music.

Our faculty empower their students to embrace their own thoughts and feelings and to search for beauty and truth in all areas of life.

The four departments of this school, Keyboards, Strings, Winds and Brass, and Voice – together with the Young Artists Collegium programs – provide a solid foundation to learning music of any genre, while developing every student’s unique artistic identity.”

Stephen Green, Dean, Chief Artistic and Academic Officer
