The VCM Winds and Brass Department of the Ann & George Nation Conservatory School of Classical Music (CSCM), continues its great line-up of Masterclasses and Special Events for the 2017-2018 academic year. Jazz Saxophonist Monik Nordine hosts “How Improvisation Works” on Jan 17; Trumpet and Brass specialist Joanne Allers explores rhythm on Feb 21; and Dr. Mary Byrne leads a special workshop “Historical Flute” on May 2.
