Orff Vocal Ensemble (7-10 years)

Program Outline

Carl Orff considered the voice as the first and most natural of instruments. This non-auditioned vocal ensemble welcomes both children with no previous experience, and also those who may have taken early childhood music classes, including Orff. The program focuses on building foundations of good vocal technique, and may include playing of pitched and non-pitched percussion instruments. Repertoire will consist primarily of customized arrangements that ensure success with both singing and instrumental playing, and may include traditional melodies from various countries from around the world.
