Sounds Fun

Program Outline

This new program stimulates awareness of musical sounds, inspiring creative moments and an early love for music. The age-specific, sequenced curriculum is appropriately adjusted to suit infants, toddlers, and pre-school ages up to 4 years, exploring musical sound in many ways: high and low, soft and loud, slow and fast, and everything in-between! Other musical fundamentals such as rhythm, pulse, phrasing, and instrumental colours will be introduced in a fun and age appropriate way.

Each class involves a lively mix of singing, dancing and other movement, as well as playing on instruments. Learning is fun, while at the same time, built on a high quality educational approach developed by VCM Early Childhood Music specialist Georgina Craig, that provides a solid sequential curriculum, based on the renowned Kodàly, Orff, and Music Express (UK) methods.
