Theory and Musicianship for Adults
For adults who have completed the Adult Beginners course or the equivalent. Theory, ear-training and sight reading are integrated to further develop musical literacy. Students become musically literate and have a deeper understanding and a life-long appreciation of how music “works.”
Students will be arranged into the appropriate level based on their previous experience.

Brenda Braaten is co-author of the Sound Advice Theory and Ear-Training Program, published by Frederick Harris Music Company. Brenda teaches theory and musicianship at the Victoria Conservatory of Music, is the musicianship instructor for the Diploma in Music program offered by Camosun College in conjunction with the VCM, and also teaches theory/musicianship via distance learning. She is a theory and ear-training clinician and, for over 25 years, has taught theory, harmony, history, and musicianship in Victoria, Nanaimo, and the Cowichan Valley.
