We are thrilled to launch our new flagship brand BENCH 1775 and are dedicated to attaining new benchmarks for winemaking in British Columbia: our mission is to grow exceptional grapes and produce great wines that inspire the senses – at great prices. The process begins in our vineyards. Bench 1775 wines are made with fruit from our own premier Naramata Bench vineyards as well as from other meticulously selected growers in the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys.
We are devoted to using only top quality, fully ripened grapes from the Naramata Bench. Sandwiched between rock bluffs and nearby Okanagan Lake, our southwest exposure, rocky soils and steep slope provide superb growing conditions. The vineyard, established in 1998, is planted in 5 varieties well suited to our region.

As crazy as it sounds a logical story supports the christening of our winery. Grandmother Catherine acquired the orchard as a retirement investment. Grandfather Paul, or Poppy as we called him, was convinced that the investment would prove a “white elephant”.
Our estate vineyards are situated on the famous Naramata Bench, an area renowned for its unique terroir. All our vineyards are located on the southwest facing slope above Okanagan Lake and are planted in a mixture of well drained glacial and lacustrine soils.
This past year Kettle Valley Winery proudly celebrated twenty years of making wine at our family farm winery on the Naramata Bench.
At LA FRENZ , we believe the quality in the bottle begins in the vineyard. Cutting edge and meticulous vineyard practices are used in combination with varieties tailored to the unique soils and micro climates of our vineyard sites to produce the vibrant and intense grape characters found only in the Okanagan Valley. The potential of the resulting fruit, using experience and careful stewardship throughout the vinification process, is maintained and enhanced to create exceptional wines that truly reflect the grape variety and vineyard site.
Established in 1996, we have 12 acres under vine and grow nine different varietals including pinot blanc, semillon, merlot and cabernet franc.
Our annual production is currently 10,000 cases making us a relatively small winery on the world wide scale. However, good things come in small packages – we boast several award winning wines and a popular patio lunch in one of the prettiest settings anywhere.

Moraine is a family-owned winery and vineyard overlooking Okanagan Lake, located just minutes from the city of Penticton. From its shelf-like location above striking clay bluffs, Moraine peers over the landscape and water. These iconic glaciated white clay cliffs comprise the breathtaking Naramata Bench and inspire the winery’s land-formed name.

In 1993 Poplar Grove Winery began as the quintessential garage winery located on the slopes of the Naramata Bench about 10 minutes from downtown Penticton, BC. The original owner, Ian Sutherland, was inspired by the Naramata Bench’s ability to produce exceptional fruit and decided to dedicate his entire eight acre property to premium grape production. It was this initial decision that helped to define Poplar Grove’s present goal: to produce world-class wines from family owned estate grown fruit.

Perched high above Okanagan Lake, our winery is located among the rolling hills of Naramata Bench Road. Here we have the most inspiring views you could possibly imagine. Which is probably why we tend to look at things a little differently.
Therapy Vineyards & Guesthouse is located in beautiful British Columbia, situated on the Naramata Bench near Penticton.
Perseus, the winery and structure, sits quietly among established Penticton homes, blending in with the character of the neighbourhood in the urban landscape bordering the bustle of downtown. Inside, the tasting room, wine shop, and amenities are modern, with a nostalgic twist.
Now open, Upper Bench Estate Winery is Naramata Bench’s newest winery and creamery. With a passion for flavour, Upper Bench offers locals and visitors tastings and pairings of our own artisan wines, hand-crafted cheeses, fresh local fruit and hand-made bread.
Terravista Vineyards was started in 2008 by Bob and Senka Tennant. As a bit of history…Bob and Senka have been in the BC grape/wine industry for the past 16 years. Senka as winemaker and Bob as vineyard and business operator at their first business, Black Hills Estate Winery. In 2007, Black Hills was sold and Bob and Senka, not wanting to leave the industry, started looking for a small piece of property on which to establish a new vineyard and winery. Their idea was to concentrate on a couple of white grape varieties that had been attracting their interest.
Lang Vineyards opened its doors in 1990 and has grown from its humble beginning into one of the Okanagan’s most popular wineries.
Guenther Lang and his wife, Kristina, purchased the vineyard when they immigrated to Canada in 1980. Guenther selected the property—high up on the bench—for its excellent soil conditions and micro-climate. Additional properties along the bench have added to the overall acreage available to the winery. During the 80’s, most of the hybrid varieties were pulled out and replaced with vinifera varietals; whites such as Pinot Auxerrois, Gewurztraminer, Riesling and most recently Viognier. Red varieties included Pinot Noir, Merlot and Pinot Meunier.
