VCM Summer Academy – Vocal
June 3 – June 12
Join us this summer for Canada’s premier Baroque vocal program. Our 2013 program offers a week of lessons, coachings, masterclasses and rehearsals for advanced singers that focus on vocal technique and Baroque chamber music (i.e. songs & arias with continuo and obbligato). Receive expert guidance from leading early music specialists, culminating in performances with chamber ensemble. Also this summer we are offering a new separate Choral Program (see below). Our two-week Oratorio program, complete with courses for junior singers, adults and choristers, will resume in 2014 and continue on an alternating basis.
Note: Online registration requires payment in full. Those who wish to apply but are planning to temporarily defer tuition payment (i.e. bursary applicants awaiting award results) should register by phone, in person, or via the downloadable .pdf registration form.

Advanced Vocal Program $850
Program runs 10:00am-5:00pm daily, and includes lessons, coachings, masterclasses and rehearsals. Repertoire will include songs and cantatas with continuo and obbligato as required.

All performances will take place in the Alix Goolden Performance Hall at the Victoria Conservatory of Music. Tickets available from the VCM administration office.
