Advanced Singers Program $1000 ($750 with scholarship*)
A course designed for professional singers and advanced students.
Our formula is simple: a 10-day intensive workshop comprised of private lessons, masterclasses, and coachings, with a concert at the end of the course. Participants bring any repertoire they wish to prepare from any era (baroque to avant garde), including song, oratorio, and opera.
Our faculty has a unique and broad range of skills to help participants work to the highest standard in repertoire, technique, physical awareness, confidence and presence. We will also offer sessions using various meditation and visualisation techniques, known to improve performance and reduce anxiety. Our work is intense, transformative, and fun.
Lessons, masterlcasses, and coachings will take place daily from 10:00am-1:00pm and 2:30-5:30pm except Saturday, June 5 (half-day; 10:00am – 1:00pm) and Sunday, June 6 (free day).

*The 2015 Summer Academy Vocal Program is made possible through the generous support of the NRS Foundation. While the true cost of delivering the program is approximately $1000 per participant, a portion of this funding allows us to offer scholarship assistance to all students who are accepted in the amount of $250. Please visit the Vocal Program registration page for further details.
In addition to the registration form, applicants are asked to submit:
- A repertoire list
- A resume, detailing vocal training, schools, institutes, courses attended, solo and ensemble experience.
Acceptance is by interview; shortlisted applicants may be asked to submit audition materials via good quality CD recording.
Note: Online registration requires payment in full. Those who wish to apply but are planning to temporarily defer tuition payment (i.e. bursary applicants awaiting award results) should register by phone, in person, or via the downloadable .pdf registration form. Acceptance is limited to 15 participants, so early application is advised.
The Vocal Oratorio program, offered in alternating years, will be presented again in summer 2016.
