Of course he hasn’t been sitting idle and quite the opposite. Since his last fiddle album\, Reunion\, released in 2002\, he’s taught the fiddle to hundreds of students\, toured and recorded with his electronic band\, Lappelectro\, as well as playing live shows with Rickie Lee Jones\, Gord Downie\, Elvis Costello and Lou Reed to name a few. He’s been around and off the continent many times and has developed an innovative program for Contemporary Music at the Victoria Conservatory of Music of which he’s the Artistic Director. His annual Home For Christmas Concert which features his 180 students has grown to two full houses in the Royal Theatre and will celebrate 23 years in 2025. No\, he hasn’t been sitting around.
