Admission by Donation. \n\nAs the duration of the concert may vary depending on the number of participants\, attendees are welcome to drop in and stay for the length of their preference. To honour the dedication and artistry of our student performers\, we kindly ask guests to enter the venue during applause breaks between performances. Let us come together to support these aspiring musicians on their journey. \n\n\nVoice Competitions\n\nThe Voice Department offers annual Song Competitions for current students of the Victoria Conservatory of Music to perform\, compete\, and receive feedback from renowned and respected adjudicators. \n\nFirst and Second Prizes as well as Honourable Mentions are available to be awarded for each competition. Spirit of Song awards may also be given at the discretion of the adjudicators. \n\nView the list of Voice Competitions here. \n\n\nAbout the Oratorio and Sacred Song Competition\n\nThe Voice Department provides this opportunity for students of all ages and abilities to perform one Oratorio Aria or a Classical Sacred song. \n\nStudent participants perform in Alix Goolden Performance Hall and receive feedback from adjudicators. \n\n \n\nVenue Accessibility \n\nThe 900 Johnson Street entrance is wheelchair accessible at street level. There’s a drop-off zone out front\, elevator access inside\, and several accessible washrooms\, including a gender-neutral washroom.  \n\nWe honour Canoo and Access 2 Passes. DESCRIPTION:Diva Cabaret\, a fabulous fundraiser for Intrepid Theatre is in Alix Goolden Performance Hall\, entrance at 900 Johnson Street. \n\n\n\n\nAdvance price: $25+fee GA\, $50 Fundraiser\, $100 Fundraiser \nDuration: 120 mins with intermission \nRating: Ages 14+ \nGenre: Drag\, Cabaret \n\n\nForget stuffy events and ho-hum galas; we’re here to do what we do best: put on a show. \n\nJoin us for a fundraiser unlike any you’ve been to before. On Friday\, May 29th at the Alix Goolden\, the Diva Cabaret will put local business leaders and change-makers in drag for the first time. These future kings and queens will each be matched with a local drag artist\, who will mentor them all the way to the stage and their big debut number in a fabulous cabaret! \n\nThis fundraiser is in support of Intrepid’s year-round programming—help us support artists\, run residencies\, and bring more incredible theatre and performance to our shared community. There will also be a 50/50 Raffle\, drag bags and fabulous refreshments. \n\nThe drag mentors: Aria Okay\, Eddi Licious\, Henrietta Dubet\, Sylvester Stalletto\, Vivian Vanderpuss \n\nThe brand new divas: Anderson Gomez\, Ann Squires-Ferguson\, Carly Russell-Huntley\, Erika Peterson\, Morgan Brooker \n\nAccessibility\n\nSensory warnings: TBA \n\nContent warnings: TBA \n\nArrival at the venue: The doors will open  30 minutes ahead of showtime. This spring’s concert features special guest Pony Gold. \n\nFor the past six years\, Oliver Swain and Claire Butterfield have been building The Village Choir into a thriving vocal community in Victoria. With decades of experience as vocalists and educators\, they’ve created a space that is both welcoming and rewarding. The choir will be supported by Chris Van Sickle(keys)\, Damian Graham(drums)\, Cameron Wiggins(guitars) and Oliver Swain(Bass). \n\nPony Gold\nPony Gold crafts timeless\, tender-hearted songs that resonate deeply. Canadian singer-songwriter Theresa Anne Bromley blends folk roots with an alt-country spirit\, known for personal lyricism\, a distinctive vocal style\, and a devotion to honest storytelling.  \n\n\nVenue Accessibility\nThe 900 Johnson Street entrance is wheelchair accessible at street level.
