Important Dates

The Young Artists Collegium program is an academic year program, running from September to May with auditions the previous May.

2024/2025 Important Dates are:

  • Application deadline: May 5, 2024
  • Audition dates: May 29-31, 2024

    Application Process – Instrumental

    Step #1: Pay Application Fee

    New applicants must pay a one-time, non-refundable $32 application fee. Returning students can skip to step #2.

    Payment Options:

    • Online with a Credit Card
    • In person at our Front Desk with Cash, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
    Step #2: Complete the online application form
    Step #3: Audition

    All new and returning students are required to audition.

    Auditioning students should prepare two contrasting works which best show their current level of performance. You are not required to have an accompanist in your audition. The audition will last a maximum of 15 minutes and will include conversation with the jurors where you will be asked the following questions:

    1. Why do you want to join the Collegium?
    2. What other extra-curricular activities do you pursue which may conflict with Collegium?
    3. Commitment Rating: On a scale of 1 (not much) – 10 (top priority in your life) please give a rating number to how committed you will be to doing Chamber Music in the Collegium.
    4. Senior Instrumentalists are expected to rehearse with their group once per week on a day other than Monday. Please name 3 days/times you will be available so your group can fix on a regular weekly rehearsal time. (Not applicable to Juniors)

    Application Process – Voice

    Step #2: Complete the online application form
    Step #3: Audition

    All students are required to attend a friendly audition. Auditioning students should prepare two contrasting songs or arias which best show your current level of performance. A collaborative pianist will be provided on the date of the audition, including for a short run-through prior to the audition. The audition will last a maximum of 15 minutes and will include a short conversation with the audition panel.

    Notice: This program does not require approval by the Private Training Institutions Branch of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training and as such has not been reviewed.
