The Recording & Production Project Award at the Victoria Conservatory of Music provides the support needed to take your creative vision to the next level.
Why Apply?
Since its launch in 2019, this award has helped students of the Conservatory bring their music to life. Administered through the School of Music Technology and Creativity, it is designed to encourage emerging artists to develop their craft in both recording and production, while also fostering creative entrepreneurship.
Recipients receive up to $1,300 in funding, covering 80% of the proposed project budget. This support allows students to focus on the creative aspects of their work, whether that means renting studio space, acquiring specialized equipment, or collaborating with other musicians and producers.
Who is Eligible?
This opportunity is open to current students of the Victoria Conservatory of Music who are at least 16 years old by the application deadline. A current student is defined as someone enrolled in regularly occurring classes, ensembles, or private lessons with a Conservatory faculty member.
Applicants must have full creative control over their proposed project, ensuring that the recording is a reflection of their artistic vision. In addition, projects must adhere to international intellectual property rights and cultural ownership protocols.
