Are you a current Victoria Conservatory of Music student dreaming of performing on stage in front of a live audience, backed by a professional orchestra? The Spark to Flame Student Showcase is your chance to shine.
Each year, Spark to Flame highlights exceptional young performers from across the Victoria Conservatory of Music in a professionally produced concert. Students selected through a competitive audition process perform solo works alongside orchestra musicians in Alix Goolden Performance Hall.
New for 2026: All applicants will now be required to submit a Repertoire Approval Form in advance. This form must be submitted by September 15, 2025 in order to be eligible to audition in November.
This change ensures that all proposed repertoire is suitable for orchestral arrangement and appropriate for the student’s level of study.
The Repertoire Approval Form is now live on our website. We encourage all interested students to speak with their teacher and begin preparing early.
We can’t wait to see who will take the stage in 2026!
