Allan Slade and Ari Kinarthy

The Victoria Conservatory of Music is proud to host the Victoria premiere screening of Ari’s Theme in partnership with Salazar Film and the Victoria Film Festival. Directed by Nathan Drillot and Jeff Lee Petry, this inspiring documentary follows composer and performer Ari Kinarthy, showcasing his remarkable journey and the life-changing impact of music therapy.

Join us on February 16 at the Alix Goolden Performance Hall as part of the Victoria Film Festival. The evening will feature:

  • A special screening of Ari’s Theme.
  • A live performance of Ari’s original score, created in collaboration with his music therapist, Allan Slade, and performed by an eight-member ensemble.

Make a difference today

Plus, until February 16, an anonymous donor will be matching up to $10,000 in donations – making your support for Ari and the Centre for Music Therapy and Wellness go twice as far!

Your donation helps:

  • Realize Ari’s dream and bring his story to life.
  • Expand access to vital music therapy services through the Centre.
“This initiative embodies the heart of what we do at the Conservatory—transforming lives through music,” says CEO Nathan Medd. “Your support makes this possible.”
