“At the VCM, we are passionate about sharing our love of music so that you may enjoy every minute you spend at the keyboard.”

~ Robert Holliston

The VCM keyboard department offers piano, harpsichord, accordion, and pipe organ lessons to suit all ages, interests, and learning styles. Most students register for one-on-one studio lessons, but the Conservatory also offers a wide variety of group instruction for both students and adults. Group instruction is often a good choice for the beginner or elementary-level student.  (Click on the Programs tab for more information)

We have over 30 dedicated piano teachers each excited to share their love of music with you and make your piano lessons a joy!

A tradition of excellence in keyboard instruction stems right back to the very roots of the VCM, through the incredible teaching and leadership of both Prof. Robin Wood and Mrs. Winifred Scott Wood.  Many of their former students are on the VCM faculty, and continue to uphold the high standards set in place by their mentors.
