Georgina Craig Georgina Craig graduated from Christ Church University in Canterbury, England; undertook postgraduate vocal studies at Trinity College of Music in London, teacher training at Reading University and Orff training in Calgary. She brings to the VCM a wealth of experience working with students of all ages both in a class setting and on a one to one basis. In addition to her community outreach work at the VCM, Georgina is the conductor for the Concerto group of Viva Youth Voices. Noa Kay Noa Kay holds a Bachelor of Music Therapy degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, with specializations in Community Music and Psychology. Her passion for music began with singing at a young age, exploring a wide variety of musical genres including classical voice, musical theatre, jazz, pop, and music from around the World. Noa has clinical experience in pediatrics, rehabilitation, long-term care, mental health and special education. Using a client and family centered approach, she is passionate about collaborating with clients to harness individual strengths in order to achieve goals. Noa believes musical interactions can foster connections within clients, their families, and communities.
Johanna Kroetsch Johanna Kroetsch completed a Bachelor of Music Therapy from the Canadian Mennonite University in Winnipeg. MB. After working in Winnipeg for a year with newcomers to Canada and children in early childhood, she joined the VCM in Fall 2020. Working primarily with children and teenagers, Johanna uses music to help individuals achieve developmental milestones, as well as provide opportunities for emotional expression and social connection.
Julie Ryning Julie Ryning holds a B.Mus honours in voice performance with a minor in music history, and a M.mus in voice performance, both from McGill University. Julie teaches Early Childhood Music classes at the VCM’s Westhills location, and at the Saanich Commonwealth Rec Centre. Julie also teaches Early Childhood Music in the Greater Victoria Community as part of the VCM’s Children’s Outreach. Jessie-Anne Tromsness Jessie-Anne Tromsness strongly desires to make a difference in children’s lives by listening, educating, inspiring, caring, and bringing the joy of music to all in the most accessible, equitable, and inclusive way as possible. She is elated to have started teaching music in the Early Childhood Music department at VCM Oct 2020 and wishes to pursue continuing education in Orff Music Teacher Training.
