Families Making Music (3 - 5 years) Nanaimo

Program Outline

A fun music program for children and their caregiver! This 8-week interactive program is designed for children ages 3-5. You will sing, groove to the beat of the music, engage in movement activities, musical exploration, active music making and fun musical games!

We will take care to ensure proper physical distancing. All instruments will be sanitized before class. Each class is limited to 6 children with 1 caregiver each. Maximum capacity must be observed, we hope you understand.

This class will take place at the Nanaimo Conservatory of Music (375 Selby St, Nanaimo BC, V9R 2R4)

Graylen Howard, Music Therapy

Graylen Howard

Graylen is a graduate of the Applied Music Advanced Diploma Program at Mohawk College, and Bachelor of Music Therapy and Master of Music Therapy programs at Wilfrid Laurier University. Graylen has extensive clinical experience in paediatric settings, as well as in adolescent mental health, and long-term care residences. He is passionate about using a variety of instruments in his work including the cello, guitar, french horn, and electronic musical instruments. While maintaining a family and client-centered approach, Graylen believes the purposeful use of music helps empower clients to focus on their strengths and help establish and execute aspirations – leading to an improved quality of life.
