Music for Little Ones (Babies & 1 year olds) Sep 13 – Nov 8 Nov 15 – Jan 24
A fun music program for young ones and their caregiver! Come and enjoy making music together, learn songs and activities that will grow with your child as they age. Explore instruments, sing songs, have fun with movement and begin early literacy and numeracy learning!

Music for Life (2-3 years) Sep 13 – Nov 8Nov 15 – Jan 24(10:00am)Nov 15 – Jan 24 (10:45am)
A fun music program for the whole family! Come and have fun with your child while they learn simple music concepts. Join us to sing, play instruments, move to music and play interactive musical games that explore beat, pitch, dynamics, literacy and numeracy skills!

Music for Life (3-4 years) Nov 15 – Jan 24
Enjoy playing and learning together! In this class we will explore musical styles, instruments, and the beginning steps of pitch, rhythm and notation! This course is designed to give children foundational skills through fun and play and to engage them in a lifelong love of music.

Music for Life – WORLD MUSIC for 3-5 years | Sep 13 – Nov 8 | Nov 15 – Jan 24
Come and meet a new instrument from around the work each week! We will explore each of these instruments through sound, movement, stories and other activities!

Julie Ryning

Julie Ryning holds a B.Mus honours in voice performance with a minor in music history, and a M.mus in voice performance, both from McGill University. Julie teaches Early Childhood Music classes at the VCM’s Westhills location, and at the Saanich Commonwealth Rec Centre. Julie also teaches Early Childhood Music in the Greater Victoria Community as part of the VCM’s Children’s Outreach. Having found a passion for early childhood music education, Julie believes that every child deserves to find their own musical potential and to enjoy music as a lifelong endeavor.
