Summer Reed Ensemble

Program Outline

Enjoy the summer making music with this ensemble comprised of single and double reed wind players. This summer we will explore the music of Motown! The purpose of this ensemble is to give reed players a chance to “keep their chops” over the summer by playing any week they are available to join us. To accommodate vacation and travel schedules, attendance can be flexible.

There will be an optional celebratory performance on the Alix Goolden Performance Hall stage at the Victoria Conservatory of Music’s Open House on Saturday, September 8 for those who are interested.

All participants should have 1 year of experience playing a reed instrument.
