Dr. Johanne Brodeur , Ph.D, MTA, holds a Doctorate in Health Science, Music, and Music Therapy and is an accredited music therapist in Canada. She is the Head of Music Therapy, which includes adaptive learning in music. She led Conservatory’s Department of Early Childhood Music programming for well over a decade, retiring from that position in 2024. Dr. Brodeur has been a clinician specializing in paediatric music therapy for over 45 years.
She served as the President for the Canadian Association for Music Therapy for 6 years. She has lectured internationally, is a published author and has served on numerous regional, national, and international music, music therapy, and health associations’ Boards of Directors. Dr. Brodeur is the recipient of the two most prestigious Canadian music therapy awards: the Franni Award and the Norma Sharpe Award.
