Car

An accessible drop-off/loading white-curbed 3-minute Passenger Zone is located on the street in front of the 900 Johnson Street entrance. The closest City parkade is the Johnson Street Parkade at 750 Johnson Street, 350 metres away and approximately a four-minute walk. There is also lots of paid street parking available. Please note, the Victoria Conservatory of Music parking lot is reserved for pass holders at all times. You are subject to ticketing by Robbins if you are in the parking lot without a pass.

Bus

There are many bus stops within a short walking distance of the 900 Johnson Street entrance, including one across the street at Quadra and Johnson (Stop Code 100093).

Bike

Bike racks for students, faculty, staff, and visitors are located inside the gates at the 900 Johnson Street entrance. Please note that we cannot monitor these and leaving your bike is at your own risk.

During Your Visit

Accessibility

The 900 Johnson Street entrance is at ground-level and wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator located on the first floor: as you enter the building go down the ramp to your right and the elevator is on the left at the bottom. Priority seating can be provided at concerts if you have accessibility issues; please contact the Venues Department. Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located on the main floor, beside the lobby in the Reception and Registration area.

Restrooms

Our main restrooms are located on the main floor, on the far side of the lobby. Additional restrooms are located on the first floor by the Early Childhood Music classes, on the second floor by the main Theory classroom (Room 225), and on the third floor by the stairwell.

No photography or video

Flash photography and/or videos are prohibited at concerts and events, with the exception of photographers hired by the Conservatory.

Metro Studio Theatre

1411 Quadra Street, Victoria BC

The Metro is wheelchair accessible and has one wheelchair accessible, all-gender washroom on the main floor. The entrance to the stage, and the stage itself, are on one level.

All above transportation and parking information applies. Please note that shows in Metro Studio Theatre are primarily run by Intrepid Theatre and tickets should be purchased from their box office.

Use the Greater Victoria Public Library entrance and take the elevator or stairs to the second floor.

Please note: You cannot reach the VCM’s unit from inside the YM/YWCA, you must go around the building to the top side.

Traveling to the Westhills location

Car

Limited two-hour parking is available outside the Greater Victoria Public Library entrance.

A three-hour parkade is available via the lower YM/YWCA parking lot. Drive up the ramp along the far side of the building. Once parked, follow the signs to the elevator that will take you to the second floor.

The Westhills Exchange is located outside of the YM/YWCA entrance, at which several buses stop.
