Campus Renewal
“When I first moved to Victoria, the Conservatory looked like a castle! Now it feels like a second home.”
Max Francis, Conservatory Student

For decades, students have called the Victoria Conservatory of Music’s campus in downtown Victoria home. Now, whether you’re a longtime supporter, a proud parent, an avid concertgoer, or a passionate advocate for the arts, you can help create a thriving campus for the next generation of students.
Gifts of any size will help renew our historic facilities in the heart of downtown Victoria. Together, we can build a thriving and lasting artistic home for musicians of all ages and abilities!

Donor-Funded Projects

State-of-the-Art Sound Equipment
New audio equipment for Alix Goolden Performance Hall will help our students sound their best and provide hands-on experience for our future music professionals.
This project is fully funded! The new sound system will be ready to use for the 2024/2025 academic year. We thank the BC Arts Council and two private donors for their generous support.

Stage Refinishing
For the first time in 25 years, we have refinished the stage in Alix Goolden Performance Hall to provide a polished platform for artists of all ages and abilities to showcase their talents.
Thank you to the anonymous donor who realized this project in celebration of Alix Goolden Performance Hall’s 25th anniversary.

Heritage-Inspired Gates
The installation of heritage-inspired gates around our property will transform our site, safeguard our heritage building, and create a welcoming space where students can thrive. We anticipate replacing the existing blue construction fencing outside our building and installing the new heritage gates by winter 2024/25.
This project is now fully funded thanks to a generous lead gift from the Robert & Devi Jawl Foundation and support from the City of Victoria.
