Kim Brame

Kim Brame joined the VCM faculty in 2010. Kim brings to the VCM 25 years of work experience with infants to teens in Great Britain and in Canada. She graduated from Capilano University in North Vancouver with a Bachelor of Music Therapy (BMT) in 2001, and gained accreditation with the Canadian Association for Music Therapy in 2004. She developed her music therapy private practice in Vancouver between 2001 and 2010, including children and young adults with developmental delay and anxiety disorder.

In addition, Kim works with adults with a mental illness. Kim has also worked five consecutive years as a contract music therapist for Camp Moomba-an annual summer camp founded by the YMCA and the Western Canadian Pediatric Aids Society for Canadian children and youth impacted by HIV/AIDS. In addition, Kim worked for six years as sole music therapist in a 76-bed long term care facility supporting seniors living with dementia. She is past President of the Music Therapy Association of BC.
