Workshops for Visiting Schools
Looking to book a workshop for a school field trip? We can tailor an activity that supports your curriculum and fits your group or classes’ part or full day needs. Our workshops are suitable for elementary, middle, or secondary students, can be tailored to different ages and learning styles, and may include a campus tour.
Fees are based on the number of faculty required, the number of students, and the length of the workshop. Adult chaperons are required for elementary school groups.

Some examples of workshops include:
- Full ensemble clinics for Middle or High School bands or choirs, including break-out sectionals.
- Elementary school class sing-alongs and fiddle music or ukulele.
- Creative Technology workshops that may include introduction Sonic Pi, building a midi controller, sound design, digital audio workstation, or recording and production.
- Art & Music Safari workshops – combining visual art with music creativity.
- Interactive visit to the Conservatory’s Music Library, the only community music library of its kind on Vancouver Island.
- Learn about Music Therapy.
- For students in French Immersion, activities include la chanson française singing and improvisation classes.
- Learn about Arts Leadership through Q&A with a member of the Conservatory’s Senior Leadership Team.
