UBC announces 2024 honourary degree recipients – Recognizing Ry Moran’s Impact

Congratulations to Ry Moran for receiving an honourary Doctor of Law degree from the University of British Columbia. UBC bestows honorary degrees, the highest accolades it offers, upon individuals who have made significant contributions to society.

Last September, Ry Moran joined the Victoria Conservatory as a guest faculty member in Music and Reconciliation. He has been instrumental in examining the responsibilities and impacts for organizations like the Victoria Conservatory of Music regarding its mission of promoting learning, performance, and wellness through music.

Ry’s guest appointment at the Victoria Conservatory was supported by the City of Victoria’s Music Strategy program.
