This workshop is for youth (15 yrs+) and for adult singers looking to immerse themselves in the magical world of musical theatre. Students will develop the skills of the singing actor in a workshop that incorporates vocal training, acting training, repertoire study, and performance. Each student will study and perform a solo as well as participating in group numbers, with repertoire chosen from on- and off-Broadway shows based on the students’ interests and strengths. The performance will be a revue-style show based on a theme chosen by the students, with each musical number fully staged.
Video audition submissions of a pop song or theatre song are required. No accompaniment is necessary, but those auditioning are welcome to sing with tracks or a pianist. Please send audition videos as an attachment to the Music Director, Nancy Curry, at [email protected].
