In addition to our special guest, Canadian Folksinger icon, Valdy, we’ll also have Canadian Singer and Fiddler Kendel Carson performing.
An alum of the B.C. Fiddle Orchestra,
Kendel Carson is an accomplished fiddle player, singer, songwriter, and recording artist. She has recorded and toured extensively with Alan Doyle (Great Big Sea) for the better part of the last decade, and has a vast musical history playing with John Prine, Chip Taylor, Spirit of the West, Lindi Ortega, Jim Byrnes, Barney and Dustin Bentall, The Deep Dark Woods, Matt Mays, Kandle and countless other celebrated artists.

The Victoria Conservatory of Music celebrates 20 years of Daniel Lapp’s Home for Christmas concerts, presenting this year for the first time on the stage of the Royal Theatre!
Renowned fiddler and jazz trumpeter Daniel Lapp leads this special 75-minute toe-tapping and joy-filled holiday tradition. Performing with Daniel are the BC Fiddle Orchestra, Folkestra! ensemble, the Joy of Life Choir, Shiny H’ORNaments, STRINGS of lights, and special guest Canadian Folksinger icon Valdy. It’s Christmas time for all, with many favourite Canadian tunes to sing along with as we join with family and friends for a wonderful holiday season celebration.
