The Victoria Conservatory of Music is thrilled to bring back Daniel Lapp’s beloved Home for Christmas concerts this holiday season! Join us on Wednesday, December 17, and Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at the Royal Theatre, 805 Broughton Street, for a joyful 90-minute celebration of festive music and community spirit.
This holiday season, we’re thrilled to welcome the celestial folk trio — Daniel Lapp, Adrian Dolan, and Adam Dobres — as special guests at Daniel Lapp’s Home for Christmas Concert.
Watch the trio in action from their summer performance at Butchart Gardens:
The Trio bring together three of Canada’s most celebrated folk and contemporary musicians, each with a remarkable career spanning performance, composition, and mentorship. Daniel Lapp, a world-renowned fiddler, trumpeter, singer, and bandleader, has performed on over 100 albums and shared the stage around the globe, from the Commonwealth Games to the Winter Olympics. As Artistic Director of the Victoria Conservatory of Music’s Chwyl Family School of Contemporary Music, Daniel continues to inspire the next generation of musicians through teaching and festival direction.
Adrian Dolan is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer whose talents on violin, fiddle, piano, and accordion have led him to perform with ensembles such as The Bills and the Victoria Symphony. His work as an arranger and musical director spans folk, jazz, and orchestral music, bringing creativity and technical mastery to every project he touches.
Adam Dobres, a gifted guitarist and composer, blends rich melodies with an almost otherworldly sense of space, crafting music that tells stories of joy, struggle, and love. His recent composition, Freda’s Journey Suite, premiered with the Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra, showcasing his ability to combine guitar-driven melodies with sweeping orchestral arrangements.
Together, the Trio creates a vibrant, virtuosic sound that will make this year’s Home for Christmas Concert an unforgettable celebration of music, community, and holiday cheer. Don’t miss the chance to experience their artistry live on stage this season.
Tickets start at $24.50 and are available at the McPherson Box Office, by phone at 250.386.6121 or toll-free at 1.888.717.9121, or online at www.rmts.bc.ca.
