We’re happy to welcome Bailey Richards as the Victoria Conservatory of Music’s new Music Librarian! Bailey brings nearly a decade of experience in arts-based community organizations and archives, including managing large-scale collections at CKUA Radio in Edmonton, AB.
With a background in library science and sociology/criminology and current graduate studies in Heritage Resource Management, Bailey is passionate about ensuring that music and its stories remain accessible, relevant, and alive. Their work focuses on thoughtful cataloguing, digitization, and inclusive collection development, transforming the library into a space for creativity, connection, and discovery.
The Victoria Conservatory Music Library is a resource hub for students, faculty, and the community. The library has over 60,000 titles including music for all instruments, reference materials, and books on music including biographies, theory, and history.
