This year marks 10 years of the Victoria Conservatory of Music, GVPL Langford Heritage Branch, and YMCA/YWCA Westhills sharing a home in Langford—bringing music, stories, wellness, and play to our Westshore community. To celebrate, we’re inviting families to join us for Family Day Weekend, filled with fun, learning, and community activities for all ages.
Here’s what’s happening:
Friday, February 13
- Kids Splash Swim | 10:00–11:30 am – Make a splash in the YMCA aquatic centre with waterslides, spray features, and a lazy river.
- Family Storytime with Stay & Play | 10:30–11:30 am – Stories, songs, rhymes, and puppets followed by 30 minutes of free play. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Langford Heritage Branch
- Family Yoga | 6:30–7:20 pm – Stretch, breathe, and move together in a fun family yoga session. YMCA Westhills
Saturday, February 14
- Discover Strings! Free Drop-In | 1:00–2:30 pm – Curious about violin, viola, or cello? Try an instrument and explore ways to start or continue your musical journey. Kids ages 6–11 can check out our new Strings for Beginners class. Music Conservatory, Langford (library entrance, YMCA/YWCA building)
Sunday, February 15
- Family Swim | 12:00–3:00 pm – Enjoy the YMCA pool with wave, lane, and leisure pools for all ages!
