Eldar Talipov is a professional trumpet player, conductor, and educator based in Victoria, BC. He holds a Diploma in Music Education from Tchaikovsky University, where he developed a strong classical foundation and advanced technical mastery. Throughout his career, he has honed his craft in masterclasses with renowned artists, including Tomasz Słuśarczyk, Tony Fisher, and Chris Botti. Performing on the trumpet, flugelhorn, and piccolo trumpet, he is comfortable across a variety of musical styles. With a rich performing background, Eldar has toured internationally as a lead trumpet player for major cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line, appearing in productions like Havana and Jersey Boys. Locally, he has performed as lead trumpet at the McPherson Playhouse, actively contributes to the Greater Victoria music community as a soloist and ensemble musician, and currently serves as the conductor of the Monterey Chorus.
As an educator, Eldar brings a supportive and methodical approach to students of all ages and levels. Dedicated to nurturing the next generation of musicians, he developed his own beginner trumpet method, emphasizing strong fundamentals, tone, technique, and musical expression from day one. Whether teaching classical, jazz, or contemporary styles, Eldar is committed to helping students grow in confidence and achieve their musical goals. Eldar has over 15 years of teaching experience, and has actively been teaching private students in Victoria since 2022 and performing in the community and professional venues throughout the city.
