Opera Quest
June 17-28, 2024
We are looking for versatile emerging Opera singers interested in becoming creatively conversant in all aspects of Opera Production. A number of singers will be chosen by audition to be part of a Special-Op(era) Team that through collaboration will prepare and present a new opera production at the Victoria Conservatory of Music. Singers will be paid a stipend for their performances, and the Conservatory will also provide assistance towards accommodation in Victoria as applicable.
This unique opportunity connects singers with nationally renowned artists and guest mentors experienced in the opera and music theatre business, stage and music direction, costume design, entrepreneurship, promotion and more. This experience aims to help participating singers gain a deeper understanding of opera production, while also being able to add valuable and much needed paid performance experience to their CVs.
