Summer Intensive Program: Strings reBoot

SIP Strings ReBoot 600px

August 25 – 29, 2025

This unique and exciting end of summer program is designed for the string student who wishes to get a jump start on the new term starting in September. This program will also appeal to the string student who may have spent the summer playing in orchestral or chamber music festivals, and now wishes to practice solo repertoire, orchestral excerpts, and technique. By the end of the week, students at VCM Strings reBoot camp will be energized and in great playing shape for the new term.

reBoot Camp features:

  • Technique classes that cover all scales and arpeggios, 2, 3 and 4 octaves, and all double stop scales
  • Excerpt classes
  • One on one lessons on repertoire
  • A mock audition for the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra or your university orchestra

Participants will have individual lessons, group technique classes, performance opportunities at the end of the week, and most importantly, time and space to practice.
