2026/2027 Young Artists Academy Tuition Information
Formerly the Young Artists Collegium Program. Each category of membership has a different tuition. All tuition is per year. Students are expected to do the full academic year (September to May).

| Postsecondary Member | $280.00 per year Note: Fee is in addition to Camosun tuition fee. |
| Intermediate Member – Strings | $2,240.80 per year, if no bursary |
| Intermediate Member – Piano Plus | $1,585.56 per year, if no bursary | Intermediate Member – Winds Plus | $1,851.40 per year, if no bursary |
Payment timing
Students auditioning for the first time are charged an audition fee. Although students audition each year to remain in the program, this is a one-time fee.
Because the Academy is an ensemble-based program, we need commitment from students long before the first day of classes. For this reason, registration into the program and a non-refundable tuition payment of $300 is required by June 30, or within two weeks for a late registration.
The balance of tuition owing can be:
- paid for the entire year with Email Money Transfer, Debit Card, Credit Card (a fee will apply), Cash, or Cheque by the first day of class, or
- set up on a payment plan which can be spread over a maximum of eight months (September to April) by providing banking information for a Pre-Authorized Withdrawal plan, taken on the 15th of each month. Note that there is a $3.00 fee per payment.
Tuition details per core discipline
Full Member – Strings or Winds
- 32 weekly 1 hour individual lessons^
- 28 weekly 1.5 hour master/performance classes or 1.25 hour Soundings sessions
- 28 weekly 1 hour chamber coaching sessions
- Up to $200 in discounts if signing up for any Theory/History classes
- 16.5 hour private collaborative coaching sessions
- Concerts and other performing opportunities
- Chamber Group entry fee to Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival

- Chamber Group entry fee to Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival

Notice: This program does not require approval by the Private Training Institutions Branch of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training and as such has not been reviewed.
