Special Guest: Leeroy Stagger

This year, we are thrilled to welcome Leeroy Stagger as our special guest!

Leeroy Stagger

With a career spanning over two decades, Leeroy Stagger is an acclaimed singer-songwriter whose music seamlessly blends rock, folk, and Americana. His journey has been one of transformation—both personally and musically. Once a hard-living, fast-moving artist in the BC punk scene, Stagger has spent the past ten years sober, building a home, raising a family, and establishing a world-class recording studio in Lethbridge. He has released 11 albums and two EPs, each one showcasing his evolution as an artist and a storyteller.

His latest work, Strange Path, reflects on themes of resilience, healing, and self-discovery. Inspired by his own struggles and triumphs, the album explores everything from love and loss to faith, forgiveness, and redemption. His introspective lyrics, combined with a signature sound that has drawn comparisons to the likes of Bruce Springsteen and The Clash, make him an artist with a truly compelling voice.

A Stellar Lineup of Performers

Alongside Leeroy Stagger, the concerts will feature an exciting mix of musical talent, including:

The Old-Time Danceband & BC Fiddle Orchestra (BCFO) – Featuring young fiddlers alongside alumni from 31 years of BCFO history.

Folkestra! – A lively, all-levels folk ensemble exploring global folk traditions.

The Joy of Life Choir – A vibrant, non-auditioned choir celebrating music from gospel, folk, jazz, and more with joyful performances.

The Joy of Life House Band – A powerhouse group of renowned musicians:

A Celebration of Music & Community

The Joy of Life Concerts are more than just performances; they are a celebration of music, connection, and the sheer joy of being alive. This year’s concerts will also mark a special occasion as the BC Fiddle Orchestra launches a brand-new album, Tumbleweed Rag.
