This year, Variety – the Children’s Charity of BC launched their Heartstrings campaign stringing together messages of hope and inspiration from Variety kids and their families. Kids like 12-year-old Isaac from Victoria who Variety has provided with music therapy & somatic therapy as part of his wellness counselling.
Isaac experienced trauma from a bully at school as a child. His mom knew therapy and counselling would benefit her son. Music therapy has helped with Isaac’s anxiety and has helped improve his self-confidence. His recovery is lengthy, but he is making great progress.
Isaac works with Victoria Conservatory of Music Therapist Kim Brame.
