Neuztec 9 Festival -Experimental Sound Design and Multimedia Technology

NEUZTEC:  SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17th:  12PM to 3PM – WORKSHOPS IN STUDIOS

Entry to the Workshop Studios are at The Victoria Conservatory of Music – 900 Johnson Street.

The Sunday workshops will feature two Ableton Live jams being facilitated by Victoria Conservatory faculty member, and local electronic music artist, Nathan Wairoa (aka HRDVSON). The jams will utilize 6 synced iMac workstations, equipped with Push Controllers, and will allow participants to get hands on, sequencing beats, creating bass lines, melodies, and harmonies in a collaborative space.  No previous experience with Ableton Live is required.

Festival is celebrating the growing symbiosis of technology and multimedia including experimental sound design, theatrical arts, electroacoustic, video, noise, drone, ambient, electronica, post-rock, improvisational jazz, cinematic interpretations, and modular synthesis.

Venue Accessibility

The 900 Johnson Street entrance is at ground-level and wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator located on the first floor: as you enter the building go down the ramp to your right and the elevator is on the left at the bottom. Priority seating can be provided at concerts if you have accessibility issues; please contact the Venues Department . Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located on the main floor, beside the lobby in the Reception and Registration area.
