Summer Intensive Program: Guitar Downtown
July 23-26, 2025
The Conservatory is happy to present the Guitar Summer Intensive Program (SIP) as a 4-day event to be held at the Downtown location. Led by an award-winning faculty, this program will be fantastic for all levels of classical guitarists who want to dedicate attention to their craft. Our faculty will be able to teach all levels of student guitarists, from the absolute beginner to advanced students, emphasizing the development of technique and musicianship while cultivating avenues for musical creativity. Participants will take part in technique classes, masterclasses, chamber ensembles, as well as one-on-one individual lessons. Pending enrollment, this 4-day SIP may also offer a guitar orchestra.
Recommended for students 10 years and up; younger students may be considered if recommended by faculty or their private teacher.

Online registration requires payment in full. Payment by credit card will incur a 3.07% convenience fee. If you do not wish to incur this fee, please contact our office for other payment methods.

Early Bird Fee: $385 + $33 application fee and Library Resource Fee*
After May 1, 2025: $445 + $55 application fee and Library Resource Fee*

*A 1% Library Resource Fee is added to all Community School registrations to support the Victoria Conservatory Music Library and Archives, which is free to all students and the public. The library is in Room 113 and available online.
Some bursary assistance may be available. Applicants must comply with all deadlines and requirements. Late applicants will not be considered for financial assistance.

Location
This program will take place onsite at the Victoria Conservatory of Music (900 Johnson Street) in downtown Victoria. There are many cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores within walking distance.
