The Victoria Conservatory of Music’s Centre for Music Therapy and Wellness is pleased to welcome two new Music Therapy interns, Tyler and Ferdinand.
Both are graduates of Capilano University’s Bachelor of Music Therapy program and are now beginning a 1000-hour clinical internship with the Conservatory.
During their placement, they will build skills through a progressive model that moves from observation to co-facilitation and, beginning June 1, to independently leading sessions under supervision. Tyler is based at the Westhills site and in community programs, while Ferdinand (pictured with a guitar) works at the Downtown site and in community settings.
Their internship is supervised by Johanne Brodeur, who provides ongoing mentorship through session observations, feedback, assignments, and regular debrief meetings.
The Victoria Conservatory of Music offers a dynamic training environment with diverse participants, strong clinical mentorship, and access to a wide range of instruments, technologies, and interdisciplinary expertise across the Music Therapy team.
Please join us in welcoming Tyler and Ferdinand!
