The 41st Annual German Lieder Competition

The Classical Voice department offers this opportunity for current students of the Victoria Conservatory of Music to perform one or two German Art Songs, compete, and receive feedback from renowned and respected adjudicators.The audience can expect to hear some of the most beautiful and beloved songs in the German repertoire as well as some rare gems.

Competitors will be performing within the spectacular acoustic of Alix Goolden Performance Hall.

The German Lieder Competition (January 24th, 2024) is the second production in the Conservatory’s popular Classical Competition Series which includes The Margaret Abbott English Art Song Competition (October 25); The Italian Song Competition (March 6, 2024); The French Art Song Competition (April); The World Languages Competition (June).
